Drew Peterson's Bolingbrook pension revoked

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (AP) - The Bolingbrook Police Pension Board has revoked the pension of former police officer Drew Peterson.

The board voted unanimously Wednesday to end former Bolingbrook officer Peterson's $79,000-a-year pension. The decision came a day after Peterson was convicted in a murder-for-hire case in southern Illinois. He was found guilty of trying to hire someone to kill the prosecutor who helped convict him in the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.

Peterson's attorneys say his oldest son uses the pension money to support Peterson's two children with his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, who disappeared in 2007.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports (http://bit.ly/25EHdhU ) a final ruling from the pension board is pending. Peterson can appeal the board's decision in civil court.
