Hundreds of Spaulding School students enjoyed Field Day in Gurnee

Spaulding School students celebrated one of their favorite days of the year Friday.

The weather was perfect for the Gurnee school's Field Day, which included 11 stations for the students to explore.

Every 15 minutes, students in kindergarten to second grade rotated through various activities, including sack races, dance lessons, hockey, obstacle courses and parachute games.

A race was held in the afternoon that included the fastest students from each class, with gender and grade-level trophies presented. The afternoon wrapped up with a teacher noodle relay and tug-of-war.
