Aubrey McClendon's Thunder stake at issue in probate court

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The roughly 20 percent ownership stake in the Oklahoma City Thunder held by the late Aubrey McClendon has become a concern of his estate's creditors.

The Oklahoman reports (http://bit.ly/1WsrUnr ) that transcripts of a probate court hearing say McClendon's widow, Kathleen McClendon, wants to buy the stake that's worth an estimated $190 million.

Arthur Hoge, an attorney for Wilmington Trust, said it's a concern that ownership shares could be sold to a family member for less than it would receive on the open market. Hoge said the estate owes the trust $465 million and has only $3 million available in cash.

Estate attorney Martin Stringer said the Thunder interest is not for sale.

Aubrey McClendon died March 2 in a car crash, a day after being indicted on a bid-rigging charge.
