Despite Bulls' rough season, Butler honored for his defense

The Bulls had a disappointing season, but guard Jimmy Butler made his third straight appearance on the NBA's all-defensive second team.

On of the highlights of Butler's season was recording at least one steal in 44 straight games, the second-longest streak by a Bulls player in the last 30 years.

The all-defensive first team included San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard, a unanimous selection; Golden State's Draymond Green, Boston guard Avery Bradley, along with DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Joining Butler on the second team were Atlanta's Paul Millsap, Indiana's Paul George, Miami's Hassan Whiteside and Memphis' Tony Allen. Butler received 18 first-team votes from a panel of 130 media members. No other Bulls players received votes.
