Dundee-Crown, Hampshire, Jacobs high schools celebrate Class of 2016

Hundreds of students from each Community Unit District 300 high school were awarded diplomas Saturday.

During graduation ceremonies at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Harry D. Jacobs High School in Algonquin honored 585 graduates, Dundee-Crown High School in Carpentersville gave diplomas to 552 students, and Hampshire High School celebrated a graduating class of 325 students.

Valedictorians Deniz Namik of Dundee-Crown High School, Shaina Huang of Hampshire High School and Parth Shah of Jacobs High School addressed their classmates and other attendees during their respective ceremonies.

Salutatorians included Molly Foulkes of Dundee-Crown High School, Claire Baxter of Hampshire High School and Nicholas Voss of Jacobs High School.
