LEADING OFF: Bradley has 25-game hit streak, Stanton slumps

A look at what's happening all around the majors today:

___

STREAKING

Jackie Bradley Jr. takes a 25-game hitting streak into Boston's matchup at Fenway Park against Indians righty Trevor Bauer. The longest hitting string in Red Sox history is 34 games by Dom DiMaggio - his brother, Joe, holds the big league record of 56 games in a row.

STUCK

Marlins star Giancarlo Stanton will try again to make solid contact when Miami host righty Joe Ross and the Nationals. Stanton is in a 4-for-45 rut that has dropped his batting average to .214, and he's struck out 12 times in the past four games. He has 11 homers, but only one RBI since May 6.

MOOSE ON THE LOOSE

Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas is expected to be activated off the 15-day disabled list before KC plays the White Sox. Moustakas rejoined the team in Chicago on Friday following a minor league rehab stint. The 2015 All-Star hasn't played since May 4 because of an injured left thumb.

JUNIOR DAY

The Reds are honoring Ken Griffey Jr. by giving away 25,000 bobbleheads for their game against the Mariners at Great American Ball Park. Griffey grew up in Cincinnati - his father, Ken Sr., played for the Big Red Machine - and he became a superstar with the Mariners before being traded to the Reds.

The bobblehead depicts him in both Seattle and Cincinnati uniforms. He'll be inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame this summer.

SHORT BREAK

Cubs shortstop Addison Russell will return to the starting lineup in San Francisco after a one-day break, manager Joe Maddon says. Russell struck out three times in Thursday's 5-3 loss to Milwaukee.
