Bears kicker Gould visits Lincolnshire school

Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould visited Wright Junior High School in Lincolnshire on Friday to reward students and staffers for their fundraising efforts.

All three Lincolnshire-Prairie View Elementary District 103 schools were asked to sell raffle tickets benefiting planned improvements to the Wright Junior High fitness center, which opened in 2007. The Lincolnshire District 103 PTO effort is raising funds to revitalize the fitness center and bring in new equipment, organizers said.

Wright earned a visit from Gould for selling the most tickets.

Gould spoke to students about his life, working hard and persevering, PTO Vice President Tania Surane said.

"It was a lot of fun," Surane said. "He was extremely motivating."

The raffle will be held May 21. Prizes include tickets to Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs games.
