Long Grove covered bridge will be closed for maintenance Friday
The Robert Parker Coffin Road Covered Bridge in Long Grove will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 6 while crews take measurements for upcoming maintenance work.
Signs directing motorists on a detour route will be installed Friday morning.
The village expects the bridge will be closed again for one week in mid-June while crews work on the bridge. Advanced notice will be given once construction dates are finalized.
