May the fourth be with the Bartlett Library

On May 4, the saying of "May the 4th be with you" was probably heard in places all over the nation. The Bartlett Library was no exception when 164 patrons celebrated the program "Star Wars Party" on May 4 with a variety of crafts and activities for families.

A majority of the children and some adults came in "Star Wars" attire to enjoy the program. There was even a young boy named Luke, who was in fact named after Luke Skywalker because before he was born his parents found out that the child was going to be a boy on the date of May 4.

There were many stations set up in the Library's meeting room: There was a coloring page station, a 3D building station, a lightsaber craft, a BB8 craft, Leia hair buns headband craft and then a Yoda ear headband craft.

Attendees were also able to participate in a scavenger hunt that spanned throughout the Bartlett Library. Each clue had a letter associated with it, so at the end all the clues spelled out "Read, You Must."

The last clue of the scavenger hunt brought patrons up to the Art Room, where they could follow instructions on how to make an origami creation of Yoda.
