Hear top political commentator weigh in on 2016 campaign

David Yepsen, a nationally recognized political commentator and director of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University, will discuss the 2016 presidential race Wednesday, May 18, in an event hosted by the Tenth Congressional District Democrats.

The event takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, Pollak Room A.

Yepsen was the chief political reporter for The Des Moines Register, where he worked for 34 years. He was dubbed "The King of the Iowa Caucuses" by The Washington Post. According to the late Sen. Paul Simon, "Every four years the chief political reporter for The Des Moines Register becomes the most important reporter in the nation."

Tenth Dems is a grass-roots organization that works to elect Democrats at all levels within Illinois' 10th Congressional District, which covers much of the North suburbs and portions of the Northwest suburbs.
