Ingolstadt coach wants to leave Bundesliga club

INGOLSTADT, Germany (AP) - Ingolstadt says coach Ralph Hasenhuettl wants to leave the Bundesliga club at the end of the season.

The club says it is "disappointed" that Hasenhuettl has decided against an early extension of his contract and that he wants to leave Ingolstadt. Hasenhuettl's contract is valid for another season and Ingolstadt says it will not release the coach unless there is "agreement" with another club.

Hasenhuettl took Ingolstadt to the top division last season and the promoted club is currently ninth with three matches remaining.

The 48-year-old Austrian has been linked with RB Leipzig, which is close to promotion from the second division.
