Naperville North 5, Plainfield South 3:

Alex Hanselman pitched a 5-hitter with five strikeouts in the nonconference victory. Maddie Vassar drove in 2 runs for the Huskies and Dani Biesiada and Morgan Johannes each rapped 2 hits.

Lisle at Byron Tournament:

The Lions went 2-1 Saturday at Byron, beating Dakota 22-0, topping Byron 1-0 and losing 10-5 to Pearl City. Against Byron Jennifer Cail had 2 hits with the game-winning RBI, and Anna Palicka threw a 5-inning 3-hitter. Palicka struck out 6.

Boys water polo

At Neuqua Valley:

Metea Valley won the title of the Neuqua Valley Tournament with an 11-10 victory over the host in the championship. Keegan Reilly scored 8 of those goals for the Mustangs and Matt Flanders had 4 steals. Reilly scored 3 goals in Metea's first game Saturday, and 8-2 win over Bradley-Bourbonnais. Ashton Howser and Matt Flanders each scored twice.
