'Grease' is the word at Naperville North

"Grease" will indeed be the word when Naperville North High School students present the classic musical for six performances in late April and early May in the school's Performing Art Center at 899 N. Mill St.

The show will take you back to the 1950s and includes songs such as "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin'" and more that recall the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley.

Show times are at 7 p.m. April 27-30 and 2 p.m. April 30 and May 1. Tickets start at $8 and are available at naperville203.tix.com.

"'Grease' was chosen to showcase our talented singers, dancers, and musicians and give the Naperville community a quality, family-friendly show," said Sue Frazzini, North Performing Arts Center marketing director.

"One of the challenges of choosing a very popular stage and film show is that our actors have to infuse their personal touch to the character without losing the charm of the well known and loved character. Additionally, it's a challenge to manage a cast and crew of 180 students; they have tons of energy."

The cast features Anabella Oddo, Geon Ruffin, Nora Snyder, Madison Gillis, Mikey Hendrickson, Sadie Bramlett, Nathan Biggs, Nick Bettuzzi, Michael Winner, Izzy Ruff, Jake Diaz, India Martin, Tessa Newman, Bobby Voss, Anna Smith, Josh Love, Lindsay Cernek and Alex Gray.
