One helpful Manny, driving a Ford

There are many kind, helpful people around and my husband and I would thank an exceptional person named Manny, driving a Ford automobile who was at the parking lot of the former Lowe's in Elgin.

We had come from two doctors' offices and stopped at the Golden Corral for an early dinner. As we left and started to go home in our car, we heard a strange noise coming from the right rear side of our car. It was a flat tire. We had never had one and did not know what to do. We are elderly people, age 86 and 81, with many health problems. We were quite upset.

A car came to help us. It was Manny in his Ford. He was the kindest, most helpful person we have known. He drove alongside, spoke to my husband and single-handedly changed the tire; then took is over to the nearby gas station to inflate the spare time he put on our car.

We tried many, many times to compensate him but he refused to accept anything.

We realized then that there are kind, helpful people around. We found one named Manny, driving a Ford car.

Thank you!
