Syracuse's Brittney Sykes returning to Orange for 5th season

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Guard Brittney Sykes of the Syracuse Orange has decided to return for her fifth season of eligibility.
Sykes suffered two season-ending injuries in 10 months, missed all but three games during the 2014-15 season, and was granted a medical redshirt. She returned this past season and helped lead the Orange to its first appearance in the national final, averaging 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds.
In the team's six NCAA Tournament games, Sykes averaged 15.3 points and was named to the NCAA Final Four all-tournament team.
