Madigan real roadblock to progress

In response to David Vaught, sir, you failed to report several key facts in your opinion. The state of Illinois has by far some of the highest property taxes in the country. Illinois does not provide twice the services that other states provide for half the cost.

Illinois has more layers of government than any other state. Taxpayers pay for all of these levels of corruption and cronyism. Public sector union costs contribute to a huge amount of debt and resultant taxes.

The majority of the state elected Gov. Rauner to clean up the mess that you, Madigan and all of the other Democrats left us over the past years. Taxpayers need to say "no" to public sector unions and get us out of the mess you helped create.

You fail to mention that Madigan is himself the biggest roadblock to any progress in Springfield. It is a two way street. What Madigan, et. al. have done in the past got us into the mess we are in today. Work with the governor and address these issues head on to clean up your mess.
