Woodland teachers reading at Gurnee library

Teachers from Woodland Elementary East in Gurnee will take their turn reading to children at Warren-Newport Public Library on Tuesday, April 26. Set from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the festivities will feature Elementary East instructors reading their favorite books to children. There will also be door prizes and a library scavenger hunt. "We are fortunate to partner with Warren-Newport Library to support literacy initiatives in the community," said Elementary East librarian Kathryn Kick. "We invite families to visit our teachers and spend time at their local library." The library is at 224 O'Plaine Road in Gurnee.
