Meet local authors at the Barrington Area Library

It's no secret that book lovers love libraries and the thrill of hunting for buried treasure in the stacks. The Barrington Area Library is giving passionate readers another opportunity to discover their next great by sponsoring its second annual Local Author Fair on Saturday, April 16, from 2-4 PM.

Thirty authors will be participating in the fair, and guests are welcome to browse their publications, discuss the writing and publishing process, and purchase books which can be signed with a personal message. Authors from the Barrington area include Laura Quinn, Yvette Klobuchar, Jim Proebstle, Sanna Hines, Orlando Ceaser, Eleanor Anne Sweet, Donn Ziebell, David Boyle, Gloria Rees-Hansen, and Bani Bhattacharyya. Fiction lovers will find romance, historical fiction, cozy mysteries, hard-boiled crime, and many other genres, and non-fiction readers will discover titles in business, self-help, dental care, even golf course management.

Other authors are from the greater Chicagoland area, including Geralyn Hesslau Magrady and James Hosek, both finalists in the 2016 Soon To Be Famous Illinois Author competition, and Elizabeth Harmon, just named a 2016 RITA finalist by the Romance Writers of America®.

The Local Author Fair is free and open to all, and light refreshments will be served. The Barrington Area Library is located at 505 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington, IL. Visit the library's website at www.balibrary.org for more details.
