Fremd runs record to 3-0

Sophomore pitcher Nikki Kehoe and the Fremd softball team won its third straight game to start the season defeating host Mundelein 6-2 in Wednesday's nonconference test.

Kehoe struck out seven and walked one for the undefeated Vikings, who collected 12 hits.

Seniors Abby Iuorio (1 run) and Kylie Hess (2 runs, RBI) led the offensive attack as each went 3-for-4.

Junior Becca Uhrich belted a home run while going 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.

Seniors Julia Wacker (2-for-3, run, walk and a RBI) and Alyssa Garcia (2-for-4, double) were also multiple hitters for the Vikings while sophomore Jessica Mazur had a double, RBI and a run.

Antioch 8, Palatine 6: Top hitters for the visiting Pirates (0-2) were Maddie Craver (4-for-4, 2 stolen bases, double, 2 runs), Victoria Parrott (2-for-4, double, 2 runs), Mackenzie Craver (2-for-3, home run, 3 RBI, 1 run) and Emily Parrott (2-for-4, 3 RBI)

Pirates pitcher Sarah Grossman struck out two.
