Dolly Parton added to Ravinia lineup

Ravinia Festival announced Tuesday that country music superstar Dolly Parton will join its summer lineup, performing on the pavilion stage at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7.

Parton, 70, has earned seven Grammy Awards, 10 Country Music Association Awards, five Academy of Country Music Awards and three American Music Awards. She is one of only five female artists to win the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year award.

Pavilion tickets are $115 to $150. Lawn seats are $38 to $43. Tickets for Parton's concert, and the entire 2016 Ravinia lineup, go on sale to the public at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26. Ravinia is at 418 Sheridan Road, Highland Park. Call (847) 266-5100, or visit ravinia.org.
