Where you can hunt for Easter egss in the Northwest suburbs

Looking at the last-minute for weekend egg hunts in the Northwest suburbs? Here is a sampling of events still available.

Spring Egg Scramble: 10:45-11:15 a.m. today, Wheeling High School football field, 900 S. Elmhurst Road. Ages 2-6, hunt for thousands of colorful candy and toy-filled eggs. Wheeling Park District mascots present for photos, along with the spring bunny. Free.

Trunk and Treaster: 1 a.m. today, Elk Grove Baptist Church, 801 Beisner, Elk Grove Village. Collect Easter eggs and candy from decorated car trunks telling the true Easter story. Crafts, kites, sidewalk chalk, soccer, hot dogs, snacks. Moves inside in case of rain. Free.

Egg Hunts with the Easter Bunny: Today, at three Hoffman Estates parks. At each park, children are divided into age groups to hunt for eggs filled with treats, and youngest group goes first. Rain or shine. 8:15 a.m. at Fabbrini Park (formerly High Point Park), 1704 Glenlake Road. 9:30 a.m. at Pine Park, 750 Charleston. 10:45 a.m. at Cannon Crossing, 1675 Nicholson Drive. Immanuel Lutheran Easter egg hunt: For children 0-12, at 9 a.m. today, Immanuel United Church of Christ, 1500 Old Church Road, Streamwood. $3-$10 depending on the number of children in your group. Bring your own basket. Raffles for a kid's Easter basket and adult 50/50. Easter Bunny on site.

Brunch With The Bunny & Egg Hunt: 9:30 a.m. today, Roselle Park District, 555 W. Bryn Mawr Ave, Roselle. Scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, potatoes and beverages. Easter Bunny on site. At 11:15 a.m. egg hunt at the Clauss Recreation Center baseball fields. $5-$13. rparks.org

Visits with the Easter Bunny: Noon-3 p.m. today, Ice House Mall, 200 Applebee St., Barrington. Free photos and giveaways. Egg hunt at 1 p.m. through the mall at certain shops. for children 12 and younger. Free.

Charitable Easter egg hunt: 1 p.m. today, St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 1095 E. Thacker St., Des Plaines. Some of the eggs contain play money which the kids will deposit into three buckets representing different charities, which the church will convert into real money and donate. www.saintmartinschurchdp.com.

First United Methodist egg hunt: 10:30 a.m. Sunday, First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights. For toddlers through 6th grade. Hunt for Easter eggs on the church lawn or inside the church if it rains. Separate hunting areas for preschoolers and older children. Hunt is between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services. Free.
