Good works are all but ignored today

Regarding the March 16 Your Views, "Politicians are ruining the country," we agree with these comments, but the problem extends beyond politicians to every facet of society and our culture.

The efforts to keep a separation of church and state have resulted in a separation of God and moral values from society.

The pursuit of power, pleasure and possessions are constantly emphasized and the practice of good works like corporal and spiritual works of mercy are all but ignored.
