Combined no-hitter powers Antioch

Stephanie Bonaguidi and Hannah Cook combined on a five-inning no-hitter, as Antioch's softball team shut out host Waukegan 12-0 in a nonconference game Thursday.

Annie Wagner paced the Sequoits' 12-hit attack by going 3-for-4 with 3 doubles. Carlie Gaylord (3-for-3), Jill Foote (2-for-3) and Ashley Stephens (2-for-2) also doubled for Antioch (2-1).

Bonaguidi pitched 2 innings, striking out four and walking one. Cook tossed 3 innings, fanning six and not walking a batter.

Maine West 5, Lake Zurich 3: At Barrington, the Bears concluded the Spring Fling with their third loss in as many days.

Melissa Goldberg went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Lake Zurich (0-3). Freshman Julia Zaucha was 2-for-4 and scored twice, and Tara Wilkes was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Lindsey DeLuga suffered the loss, allowing 2 earned runs in 6 innings.
