University Center to host open house in Grayslake

The University Center of Lake County will host a free open house Thursday, March 31, 6 to 8 p.m. at its Grayslake facility, 1200 University Center Drive. The event will be showcase the more than 125 academic options available in Lake County from 20 Illinois institutions for adults who wish to complete a bachelor's degree, earn a graduate degree or pursue professional certificates. It will also offer three half-hour workshops for students contemplating a return to college and who may have concerns about balancing school, work and family life: 6 p.m. "For Adults Only: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Earning a Bachelor's Degree;" 6:45 p.m. "Back to School Balancing Act;" 7:30 p.m. "It's Time to Get a Graduate Degree - Making the Decision to Start."
