Housing authority development

Lake County Housing Authority has gained financing for a new development in North Chicago, officials announced. The agency and the TBG development firm received unanimous approval from the Illinois Housing Development Authority for $22 million in financing to build the affordable housing project in North Chicago. The development will include 220 units of housing on the demolished traditional public housing Marion Jones townhouse site, along with land purchased at nearby Cole Park. The total development cost is estimated at $40 million.
