Box Office Top 20: 'Zootopia' rises to record $75 million

LOS ANGELES (AP) - "Zootopia" made even more of a mark at the box office than expected. Disney's latest animated romp took in $75 million in its opening weekend, according to comScore Monday. It's the highest three-day opening ever for Disney Animation, topping "Frozen's" $67.4 million, and the fourth biggest March debut ever.

The Gerard Butler pic "London Has Fallen" debuted in second place with $21.6 million, effectively ending "Deadpool's" three-week streak at the top of the charts. In third place, "Deadpool" too in $16.7 million, bringing its domestic total to $311.4 million.

The Tina Fey comedy "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" also opened this weekend to $7.4 million to take fourth place, while "Gods of Egypt" rounded out the top five with $5.2 million.

The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by comScore:
