Learn about getting Lake County pollwatcher credentials

Lake County pollwatcher credentials are available to qualified political organizations needing credentials for the March 15 Primary Election. All pollwatchers are required to have credentials issued by the Lake County Clerk or Illinois State Board of Elections in order to observe at any voting site. Pollwatchers may represent candidates, established political parties, qualified civic organizations and organized proponents or opponents of ballot propositions. The clerk's office will offer training on the rights and limitations of pollwatchers Thursday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. in 6th floor Conference Room E of the Lake County Courthouse and Administrative Complex, 18 N. County St., Waukegan. Requests for pollwatcher credentials and registration for the class can be sent via email to elections@lakecountyil.gov or by calling (847) 377-2314. Candidates can visit LakeCandidatePower.info and download the pollwatcher guide, a helpful brochure explaining the qualifications and responsibilities of a pollwatcher.
