Manchester schedules service for students killed in crash

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. (AP) - Manchester University has scheduled a memorial service for three students killed in a weekend crash.

The university has announced the service will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Cordier Auditorium on its North Manchester campus, about 35 miles west of Fort Wayne. It is open to the public. No cameras or recordings will be allowed.

The crash Sunday morning along Interstate 69 near Fairmount killed Brook Dagnew and Kirubel Alemayehu Hailu of Ethiopia and Nerad Grace Mangai of Nigeria. Israel Solomon Tamire, also of Ethiopia, was critically injured and remained hospitalized Tuesday.

The university has established a fund to help with travel and other expenses for the families of the students. Donations may be made online at www.manchester.edu/international-student-memorial .

A Chicago man faces multiple charges in connection with the crash.
