Podkowa leads No. 21 DePaul women past Providence 91-68

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Megan Podkowa scored 21 points on 9 of 10 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds as No. 21 DePaul rolled to a 91-68 win over Providence on Friday night.

Chanise Jenkins also had 21 points, going 9 for 13 from the field, and Jessica January had 12 points for the Blue Demons (22-7, 14-2 Big East), who dominated the inside to win their sixth straight.

DePaul had 56-20 advantage on points in the paint and a 41-22 advantage on the boards, 15-4 on the offensive end, good for 18 second-chance points.

The Blue Demons led 25-16 after one quarter and by 10 at the half before pushing it to 73-50 entering the fourth quarter.

Jovana "YoYo" Nogic led the Friars (5-20, 1-14) with 20 points, Allegra Botteghi had a career-high 17 and Maddie Jolin 15. Providence was coming off its first winning after losing 13 straight.
