Prospect High School teacher named new assistant principal
A Prospect High School teacher has been named that school's newest assistant principal.
Frank Mirandola, a history teacher and staff sponsor of The Underground, Prospect's student spirit group, will begin in his new role July 1, according to a news release from Northwest Suburban High School District 214.
Mirandola has spent his entire career at Prospect, teaching U.S. History, Human Geography and American Studies classes since 2002.
As The Underground sponsor, the group raised $22,350 for the "Gift-a-Mammogram" program at Northwest Community Hospital.
Mirandola has also been Prospect's head boys' track and field coach, varsity football defensive/special teams coordinator and head freshman baseball coach.
He has a bachelor's degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and master's degrees in educational administration and curriculum and instruction from Northern Illinois University.
