Naperville Indian leader shares tale of 'love at first sight'

On a bright sunny winter afternoon, I went up on the terrace to study for my college exam.

Across from there, I saw an incredibly beautiful girl sitting in a corner reading a book. As we looked at each other, I believe that moment was what is called "Love at First Sight." It took my breath away and I was not able to forget Meghna after that.

I wanted to talk and meet her, but at that time being in India, in a small town and both belonging to conservative families, it was a big challenge. Somehow we managed to connect through our common friend.

We started talking and then started meeting secretly. After three years of courtship, we decided to get married.

It has been more than 25 years and it seems like yesterday.

The memory of that first look is as fresh to me as if it just happened yesterday. I am blessed to have her in my life. She gave me two beautiful daughters and a world of love and happiness.
