Children's Hospital group partners with Medline

MUNDELEIN - Child Health Advantage, a purchasing program for physicians through Children's Hospital Association, has chosen Medline as its preferred health care product supplier.

Under the agreement, Advantage program members will have access to Medline's portfolio of products and clinical solutions at significant savings, such as exam tables and paper, Medline Step A Tests, thermometers and exam gloves. To assist with tracking and analyzing timely information about supply purchases, members can utilize Medline Insight to easily monitor key metrics such as price accuracy, item utilization and spend by product categories.

"Medline is committed to providing quality products, services and solutions to help Advantage members deliver the best quality of care to their patients. With 40 distribution centers located throughout the United States, we are able to deliver products to Advantage members where and when they need them," said John Kenny, vice president of corporate sales, Physician Office division, Medline. "Our goal is to be transparent in our relationships with our clients on pricing, product alternatives and more efficient ways to purchase supplies. Leveraging CHA's business expertise and vaccine program, we are driving the relationship forward with providers across the country. We are extremely excited to grow with this unique industry partner."

Additionally, improving patient outcomes is a top priority among health care facilities. As a result, physicians and their staff are under tremendous pressure to perform at the top of their licenses, so education has become a clear focus for health care organizations. This new partnership gives Advantage members the opportunity to access education courses through Medline University, which offers more than 250 online courses that are used by more than 700,000 registered users from nurses, to leaders and patient families.

"I am pleased to announce that Medline is a preferred partner for supply distribution services through the Advantage program. We have entered into this partnership to help pediatric and family practices reduce expenses, increase productivity and save time," said Mark Fiorella, Advantage program manager.
