PSV beats Utrecht to stay atop the Dutch Eredivisie
AMSTERDAM (AP) - PSV Eindhoven beat FC Utrecht 2-0 Sunday to stay one point ahead of Ajax atop the Dutch Eredivisie.
Santiago Arias and Marco van Ginkel, on loan from Chelsea, scored the goals inside the first half-hour to ensure PSV stayed above Ajax, which beat archrival Feyenoord 2-1 in Amsterdam. PSV's victory came days after it lost 3-1 to Utrecht in the Dutch Cup.
In Amsterdam, Jens Toornstra gave Feyenoord the lead in the 13th minute before Amin Younes beat two defenders and fired a low shot in off the bottom of the far post to equalize eight minutes later.
Riechedly Bazoer sealed the win for Ajax in the 65th minute with a long shot off the outside of his right foot that arrowed into the top corner of Kenneth Vermeer's goal.
