Night life events: Schaumburg's Level 257 hosts Mardi Gras Masquerade

PAC-MAN leads the Mardi Gras Masquerade celebration beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Level 257. For $20, the evening includes dancing, entertainment, bowling, gameplay, competitions, video game tournaments, passed appetizers, one complementary drink from the Mardi Gras cocktail list and drink specials throughout the evening. Side Lot Brewery now open

A new brewery with a coffee shop feel recently opened in Wauconda. Side Lot Brewery offers craft beer, microbrews, craft spirits, boutique wines, locally roasted coffees and small plates in a rustic setting. Try the signature bacon jam served with Brie and toasted points. Hours are 4 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
