Troy coach Neal Brown wraps up 25-player signing class

TROY, Ala. (AP) - Troy coach Neal Brown wrapped up his first full year of recruiting with several of the better defensive prospects in the state.

The second-year coach landed 18 more players on Wednesday, who joined seven mid-year signees. The class is ranked second in the Sun Belt Conference by 247Sports. It was Browns' first full year of recruiting, and he landed three of the state's higher ranked defensive prospects and 15 prospects overall from Alabama.

Defensive end Kelvin Lucky of Edgewood Academy, Opelika linebacker Zo Bridges and Auburn defensive tackle Michael Robinson signed with the Trojans.

Troy was 4-8 in Brown's debut season.

Top 25 Class: No

Best in class: Lucky is rated the No. 2 defensive end in Alabama by Scout.

Best of the rest: Bridges is rated one of the nation's Top 50 outside linebackers by 247Sports.

How they'll fit in: Robinson and Bridges add depth for the Trojans, who are still rebuilding. Troy didn't have a scholarship tight end on the roster so Sam Letton fills a need.
