District 212 Italian Honor Society Induction Ceremony

Fourteen students from both the East and West campuses were inducted into the Galileo Galilei Chapter of the Societa Onoraria Italica (Italian Honor Society) on Thursday evening, January 7, 2016 in the Little Theater at East Leyden High School. A reception for the students and their families followed the ceremony.

The candidates were selected on the basis of academic excellence, and interest in the Italian language and culture. Congratulations to the following newly inducted members of the society.

East Leyden: Norma Alejandra Callejas, Andre Colmenares, Alessandra Lizbeth Muro, Betty Vargas, Alexis Vilchez.

West Leyden: Melissa Alaniz, Alondra Carrera, Lidia Ferrel, Vidal Garcia, Jaicely Hernandez, Yekseny Guerrero, Kaylan Mason, Misael Mata, Jacob Reed.
