North Carolina hires Chad Scott as TEs, hybrids coach

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - North Carolina has hired Chad Scott as its tight ends and hybrids coach.

Coach Larry Fedora announced Scott's hiring Friday.

Scott spent the past three seasons at Kentucky, where he coached running backs and coordinated the run game from 2014-15. He's also coached at Texas Tech and Troy.

Scott lettered for the Tar Heels in 2004 and '05 after transferring from Kentucky, rushing for 796 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior.
