Trump will not win allies in office

Thanks to Kathleen Parker for her January 26th column on Daddy Trump. I have been pondering what attracts Trump supporters and Kathleen hit the nail on the head. It's parental "authority." He lacks any diplomacy, compassion or understanding which are required for a president dealing with foreign leaders and world affairs.

His simplistic rough shod approach to complicated issues will not win any friends or allies. His often said "Believe me" is ordering his supporters to accept what he says a face value and often stated "Am I right?" is a cue for them to cheer whether they understand what he said was valid or not.

"Make America Great Again" is an advertising ploy and has struck a chord with Trump followers but is not a detailed solution of how to accomplish it. Clayton W. Brown Kildeer, Illinois
