District 214 offers 'What Every Parent Needs to Know'

High School District 214 will offer "What Every Parent Needs to Know," a lecture and discussion program, in February and March to help parents navigate and respond appropriately to their children's growth and development.

"What Every Parent Needs to Know" will help parents anticipate and prevent problems, develop mutually respectful relationships, explore fair discipline, maintain effective communication and use productive problem-solving methods with their children.

The program will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 10, Feb. 16, Feb. 23, March 1, March 9 and March 15 at Rolling Meadows High School library, 2901 Central Road, in Rolling Meadows.

The sessions are led by Bob Leece, student assistance coordinator at Buffalo Grove High School, who has trained thousands of parents over the past 20 years.
