Date Night presented by Palatine Park District

Palatine Park District presents the annual Date Night special event from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at Birchwood Recreation Center, 435 W. Illinois Ave., in Palatine.

This special event is for children ages 3 to 12 with a parent and includes a meal of pizza, pasta and a sundae bar, along with dancing to a DJ, a souvenir photo for each child, and lots of Date Night fun. Mothers and sons and dads and daughters are invited to wear red for this year's valentine's theme.

The fee to attend Date Night is $13 per person for residents, and $17 per person for nonresidents. Preregistration is required using code 140040-01. Registration can be completed in person at Community Center, Birchwood Recreation Center, or Falcon Park Park Recreation Center, or by fax, mail or online. Registered participants are invited to enter the Ride in Style essay contest sponsored by Way to Go Limousine. The Ride in Style grand prize is round trip transportation for up to 10 passengers via limousine between your home and Birchwood Recreation Center for Date Night Feb. 11.

One random grand prize winner will be chosen from all entries received by Friday, Jan. 29. The grand prize winner will be announced Tuesday, Feb. 2. All families who submit an essay entry will receive a Palatine Park District prize pack. Family must be registered to attend Date Night in order to enter the contest. Only registered participants may ride in the limousine Feb. 11.

Once Date Night registration is completed, an entry form is delivered to the family.

In addition to Way to Go Limousine, additional Date Night event sponsors include A Plus Day School, Amita Health, Consumers Credit Union, Daily Herald Media Group, Immanuel Lutheran Church and School and Palatine Bank & Trust.
