The FBI and Arlington Heights police are searching for a man who robbed the TCF Bank inside the Jewel-Osco at 1860 S. Arlington Heights Road on Tuesday morning.

Police Cmdr. Nathan Hayes said the man approached the bank counter at about 11:25 a.m., implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The man did not pull out a weapon and got away with an undetermined amount of money, Hayes said.

The robber is described as a black man standing between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall, with a slender to medium build, and with long, skinny dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a black jacket, a black cap with ear flaps and dark jeans.

Investigators are reviewing security camera video, speaking to witnesses and checking on leads to find the robber, Hayes said.
