Wall carries Wizards to 118-104 victory over Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - John Wall had 28 points, seven rebounds and eight assists to lead the Washington Wizards to a 118-104 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Friday night.

The Wizards outscored the Pacers 35-19 in the second quarter en route to their fourth straight victory.

Bradley Beal added 22 points for Washington.

Paul George scored 21 points, had seven rebounds and finished with five assists for Indiana.

The Pacers turned the ball over six times in the first eight minutes and fell behind 11-4. Indiana rallied to take a 27-24 lead at the end of the first quarter. It would be the Pacers' last lead of the game.

Washington bounced back at the start of the second quarter and shifted momentum for good. The Pacers didn't score a single basket during the first four minutes of the second quarter and the Wizards outscored them 20-4 during the first seven minutes of the period.

The Wizards overcame being outscored 60-46 in the paint by shooting 44 percent (11 of 25) from the 3-point line.

TIP-INS

Wizards: Washington is 14-4 this season when it has 25 or more assists. The Wizards finished with 26 on Friday.

Pacers: Indiana is 3-15 when it allows opponents to score 100 or more points.

MEETING EXPECTATIONS

The Wizards came in with four players averaging in double figures this season: Wall (19.6 ppg), Beal (19.3), Gary Neal (10.2) and Ramon Sessions (10.1). On Friday night, all four scored in double figures. (Neal 12, Sessions 10).

Jared Dudley and Neal have combined for 89 3-pointers this season. On Friday night, the pair combined for three 3-pointers.
