Concert at First Presbyterian in Arlington Heights to honor MLK

First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights will present the Northwestern Community Ensemble from Northwestern University in a free concert to honor the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17.

Founded in 1971, the Northwestern Community Ensemble performs spiritual, gospel, and anthem music from the black Christian tradition. It seeks to provide opportunities to engage with black culture, gospel music and the Christian faith through concerts and other performances.

This concert is part of a series of musical events that are free and open to the public, with free child care provided. The concert will be webcast at www.fpcah.org/webcast. First Presbyterian Church is at 302 N. Dunton Ave. Information is at www.fpcah.org or (847) 255-5900.
