Fremont library hosts troubadour

The Fremont Public Library welcomes Chicago's "official troubadour" Mark Dvorak to its performance series Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. The library is at 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. Dvorak will present "Once I Had an Old Banjo," a program that explores the origin and evolution of the uniquely American instrument, the five-string banjo. Dvorak released his 17th album in July, "Back Home," on his own Ten Fingers label, and he plans more recording projects in the new year. Admission to the program is free. Contact the library for more information at (847) 566-8702, or visit their website at www.fremontlibrary.org. To learn more about Mark Dvorak, visit his homepage at www.markdvorak.com.
