Training in Grayslake for use of herbicides

A classroom program to learn about the herbicides used in Conserve Lake County's ecological restoration efforts will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 9, at the organization's office, 32492 N. Almond Road, Grayslake.

Participants will earn a certificate that will permit them to use herbicides at Libertyville Township and Conserve Lake County workdays throughout 2016. The certificate allows the individual to use specific herbicides under the direct supervision of a licensed applicator, only at the specific sites covered in the training session.

Contact Greg Rajsky, (847) 548-5989, ext. 30, or grajsky@conservelakecounty.org to RSVP. There is no fee, but advance registration is required and space is limited. Applicants must be over 18.
