Stoke successful in appeal against Cameron red card

LONDON (AP) - Stoke has been successful in its appeal against the red card given to American defender Geoff Cameron in the loss at West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.

Cameron was facing a three-match suspension after being sent off for violent conduct for pushing Claudio Yacob in the back of the neck at The Hawthorns.

Stoke appealed against the decision and the English Football Association said Monday that Cameron's claim for wrongful dismissal had been successful.

Cameron is now available for the first leg of Stoke's League Cup semifinal match against Liverpool on Tuesday.
