Aurora Tri-county Association of Realtors.Questions Answers Do you believe Kane County Board/Forest Preserve District members should have continued access to per diem payments, health insurance and pension benefits?I believe that this position requires quite a few hours of hard work and dedication ,therefore for some the stipend is ok. Pension and health insurance should be optional, or based on need.For decisions that specifically or mainly impact one county board district, should the rest of the board defer to the wishes of the county board member who represents the impacted district?Yes they should, I believe in a collective approach and that all should be involved, my role should be to inform the board and garner trust so that as I speak on issues in my community that they support me. Its all about building other relationships and trust doing what's best for the residents in my district as well as Kane County. I believe in having the communities best interest in mind first.Do you support the redevelopment of the former Settler's Hill landfill? What is your vision for the future use of that site?Settller hills,I don't have a problem with re-development if they can clean up all environmental issues. I am very concerned about any health issue that would affect those in that area, and also seniors. I will yield to what the constients in that area as what is good redevelopment.Do you support the push to keep the tax levies frozen for both the county board and forest preserve district? How long is it realistic for that freeze to remain in place?Yes I do for this year. future years will depend on the economy at that time. I firmly believe in keeping taxes low and living with in our own budgeting needs. Not taxing seniors and people out of their homes that they work so hard for.Please list any elected office you have ever run for and what the result of that election was. Have you ever been appointed to fill an unexpired term?Yes,I was elected to president of the Aurora Tri-county Association of Realtors who at the time had over 500 members.I was elected to board of directors then president elect, president and finally past president.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Many other issues that are important close to my heart. Ethics and education. public safety, senior taxes{keep them low}, health issues,environmental like open spaces and bypass roads, highways. important economic development.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.The president of USA, different leaders inspire me in different ways. There are local and personal leaders that inspire me.What is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Communication and unity. It makes a family strong and healthy.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?In continuing my education get a degree, also I would begin to serve my community at an earlier age or stage in life.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?reading/ writing I like to express my self and travel I can do both through it.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?To get the most education possible.life is too short. live it!
