Jaguars rule out RB Yeldon for season finale at Texans

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have ruled out running back T.J. Yeldon for the team's season finale at Houston.

The Jaguars (5-10) announced Yeldon's status Friday, adding that linebacker Telvin Smith and backup defensive tackle Abry Jones also won't play against the Texans (8-7) on Sunday.

Yeldon will miss his third consecutive game with a sprained ligament in his left knee. The team's leading rusher, Yeldon has 740 yards and two touchdowns on the ground as a rookie.

Smith, the team's leading tackler, will miss his second straight game with a shoulder injury. Jones suffered a bone bruise in his left knee last week at New Orleans.

All three players missed practice this week. So did right tackle Jermey Parnell (hamstring), but coach Gus Bradley says he will be a game-day decision in Houston.
