Raiders promote DB Dewey McDonald from practice squad

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) - The Oakland Raiders have signed defensive back Dewey McDonald from the practice squad.

McDonald fills the open roster spot created when fullback Marcel Reece was suspended four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

McDonald has played in 14 games over his career with the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots. He played one game for New England this season before being signed to the Raiders practice squad earlier this month.

The Raiders have also signed defensive back Chris Hackett to the practice squad.
