Coach should be applauded for prayer
Wait a minute!
Is it just me, or is there something missing in a society that condemns high school athletes from offering a prayer before a basketball game?
Even worse, should the coach who joined/led them be censured for doing so?
In my experience, prayer is communicating with a higher power.
I don't see prayer as necessarily sectarian, nor do I view it as an infringement of states' rights.
I see nothing wrong with what these boys and their coach did - indeed, I see it as a very positive action and I think they should all be patted on the back! Margaret McDonald
